Dear Volvo owners, hello
Maybe somebody has faced a similar problem recently
I'm a very proud owner of a Volvo V70D5, 185 Bhp, although,
Yesterday cruising on the highway [Cruise control on, speed 123 km|H] towards home, all of a sudden, the engine stopped running, no warning on the display, no signs of damage what so ever. Let the car role out, opened up the bonnet, nothing unusual to be seen. After 3 minutes started up the Volvo, engine fired up, kept on running all the way home, as if nothing ever happened.
Went to my Volvo Garage today, they had no explanation, must bring in the car for a check tomorrow. The car is a 2005 Model, 26’450 Km, I purchased it this year [Volvo Demo Car]
Any ideas what this could be or mean

Many thanks in advance for your support and answers on this issue.

Kindest Regards

Hello Collegues,

A small update on yesterdays issue, “Engine stopped without a warning”:
Seems to be as software problem, for some reason the cpu received the command to stop the engine, once the car succeeded 80 kmh. According to the cpu’s history data, this error appeared already 12 mths ago, was then erased.
Why it has happened again, this is until this day today is unknown.
Next Step: Volvo has been informed, waiting on the feedback from my Volvogarage, which activities are to take place next.

Kindest Regards
