cut out bottom of the airfilter box which is blanked off to wing feed.now sucking more air all black smoke when flooring car has gone.seems more responsive can hear it sucking in from wing feed.i will keep an eye on filter to see if gets dirty quicker.had k n filter for while now only noticed difference when altered filter box.assume cold air why was such a small holein the front of the air box all volvo allowed.it is half the size of intercooler pipes.any tried by passing catalyst or taking off an breaking out honeycomb as further mod.

Yes it does help with airflow, Have noticed a slight increase in power
