Hi,

I have a 2003 V70 D5 with 96k miles which I have had from new and which has been serviced as per recommendations

I have to say I have been disappointed by the running/repair costs including some monster bills just post the warrenty period for, among other things, a new catalytic converter, 'fly by wire' accelerator control. Not to mention endless blown bulbs!!

The latest disappointment is that the car won't start especially on colder mornings or when parked for extended periods (overnight sometimes).

I have had the fuel filter housing replaced as it was thought fuel maybe was draining back to the tank but this hasn't cured the problem. The Independant Volvo specialist garage I use is talking about injectors needing to be replaced - a comman fault on D5's...........can anyone confirm this?

I'd apprecaite any insight or experience that's out there.

All in all I'm finding the V70 D5 an expensive car to keep on the road with too many issues that I wouldn't expect at what is still a realtively low mileage.

Cheers

You should do a search on the forum under D5 injectors. Been covered in the past.
Best of luck.

At that mileage, its 90% certain to be needing new injectors... :(
