1998 v40 1.9td engine

looking to replace the engine in 98 v40 and unsure which models i can search for a donor from. i keep reading can get certain renault engines but unsure what to look for to help find a replacement engine or atleast a block.

is the engine in the volvo 440 the same as fitted to the v40/s40 of this year?

i forgot to lift the engine number but i think it was da4 off the top of head on the V5, can confirm that though.

any help would be superb or even where i can source a lump.
