Hi

It's easy and cheap to use the rear seatbelts from a 240 saloon.

Cheers

Hi,
I well agree with John, 240 rear belts are a great addition to 140/160 series. I had no problem fitting mine to a 1973 as all the captive nuts etc are in place. I can't remember at the time whether my 1972 model had captives. Take care when finding the captives in the rear quarter pillars through the lining, could be easy to mistake where hole is, and again come up from in boot with a point or such to find hole in parcel shelf. Sorry to say after all this colour may not be what you want.

Try Braydon motors - they found me a complete set of 240 belts and fittings in a matter of days.

Here they are in a 242:

The reel mounts on the rear shelf with a plastic cover over it. The threaded mounting holes are all already fitted to the 164 bodyshell, so it's an easy fit.

I recently test fitted rear 240 belts in my 164; see my project thread, page 5.

If you want photos of the separate parts, let me know.
