Can someone advise me over some fault codes please:
Had the engine light on today, but the card drove home OK.
Nothing obviously wrong.
Checked for fault codes via ODBII and got these two:
P1054
P1081
I've reset the light and the codes and they haven't come back yet but I'll see what it's like tomorrow.
Car is a 99 V70 with a B5254S
Can anyone furnish me with the faults behind the codes please?

ahh,
the codes aren't listed the same but if P1054 is the same as P0154
then apparently they mean:
P1054 = O2 Sensor circuit no activity detected bank 2 sensor 1
P1081 = Fuel temperature sensor A circuit performance
the O2 sensor is that the Lambda probe?
I've never come across a fuel temperature sensor before can anyone give me any pointers

actually that doesn't seem right.
Neither the PDF you posted or the web site you have linked to above has the same fault codes.
Is there some other way (other than Volvo) fo finding out what these fault codes mean?

Delete the codes and see what comes back would be my advice...
See what re-occurs

P1054 = ECM 510D = Speed signal from ABS unit does not contain correct data. Possible DTC in ABS control module.
P1081 = ECM 720A = Immobilizer communications.
DTC may be set if ignition is left on too long before engine started
I think you can ignore this if there are no other symptoms.

Many thanks Chris that's very helpful.
Confusing thing is I suppose that neither of those would put the CheckEngine light on would they?
Also where do you get the code details from,I'd love to know.
Cheers

I've looked; I can't find them.
It's the numbers P1000 to P1100 that are hard to find as they are OEM specific.
If you can let me have a link to those for Volvo I'd be grateful.

"Car is a 99 V70 with a B5254S"
Vol-FCR does not cover this car I'm afraid.

Chow's link is to a very useful page with the default OBD P codes; but it doesn't have the Volvo specific codes.
Chris, I'd love to know but if you don't want to say I understand
