Given a recent price reduction from Volvo, it will be comparable to the OEM.

Melvin, right now you can purchase our complete ETM from http://www.braydonmotors.co.uk. In order to have your old ETM upgraded it will have to be mailed to us in Toronto. Currently, we are working on setting up a branch in London.

At this time we are discussing a possibility of licensing our ETM rebuilding technology. More ETM discussions can be found herehttp://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17820

I guess this would need to be raised with your insurance company too?
How happy would they be for this mod to be fitted without some sort of testing and accreditation/certification by an official body?

I have held the XeMODeX unit in my hot old hands and have had it installed on my son's 2000 v70XC. It went on perfectly in about an hour and started instantly. 0-60 times were the same as before and the idle was smoother.
Since they have to do internal work beyond the end caps modification is not a DIY job though the installation could be.

Anyone in the UK bought one yet? How is it and where did you buy it lol? Braydon wouldn't sell me one as they're still testing it.
looks like this part will not be that viable in the uk for a while, see email from the suppliers below

Hello James,
Currently we do not stock ETM units in the U.K. In the future they will be available thru Braydon Motors in London.
Problem is that Volvo UK is subsidizing ETM price to the level we can not compete in your country.
Also in order to receive this service you will need your old unit to us for the upgrade. Shipping costs both ways are substantial too.
Best regards,
Chris

Hi,
Is it possible to purchase your Non-Contacting Volvo Electronic Throttle Module in the UK? Do you have a dealer here?
If not, I would like to order this part from either US or Canada, can you let me know the price and if shipping to the UK is possible please?
Thanks

Has anyone fitted the exchange replacement ETM ($549.00 ) offered by: http://www.xemodex.com/xemodex_013.htm ?
They claim it comes with the right software loaded (based on the vehicle's VIN number).
