Very nice to look at but probably too much work for the average classic driver.Maybe a good well aquiped workshop.But for anyone with such a setup who could pass up on TWO lovely motors.

Bidding went up to £1500, which I find amazing having seen the cars. I hope the buyer is happy, but I have a funny feeling we might see a relisting

I'd have been happy (without seeing the cars) to bid probably 'up to' around £1000 for the 2 cars............but I would have wanted to go and see them. Not too far off retirement I'm looking for a suitable project. Not necessarily a restoration, but still pooling ideas. The only thing that prevented me from going to look at these is the fact that I simply don't have that sort of spare space.

Willingness, Yes. Mechanical and Electrical know how, Yes Welding and bodywork etc Yes,.......... but space......sadly that's a NO....!!

With the right attention, I reckon these could well become an excellent investment.

But it will need Lerv!!

Like John, I went to see these cars. Both were certainly not past repair, but the bodywork required would be pretty significant.

As has been said, well within the capabilities of someone with the skills, cash, time, space and equipment to do the job properly.

To be fair, a valuation of around the £1000 mark for the two cars and the pile of spares - including some brand new repair panels - would be about right.

If they were bought unseen then the winning bidder might of course have second thoughts when he arrives to take his prize away, so a re-listing is always possible!

The "spares car" (RTS) was better and could be restored. As a guideline estimate, I think a professional restoration to a decent (but not concours winning) standard would cost £4-5000.

The other car was much more far gone, and very bodged. Not quite a definite scapper but... well... best rearrange these words to make a well known phrase or sentence:
