Volvo 240
Is there a 240 diesal engine?i am looking for a replacement engine for my
petrol 240 GL. |
Hi,
There was never a propre UK 240 Diesel, but there was in europe. It used a non turbo version of the D24 at 82hp. I do not know whether any one has put one in a 240 out of a 740/940 in the UK,or if the stering column would get in the way. You would have to bo a good milage to make it worth converting from petrol. Having been in a diesel 240, they are not that refined, I think you would be better geting a good petrol engine to go in your car. On the other hand if you are up for a chalange, it would make a good project. Regards Rogerb |
