V50 throttle problem

Hi, recently our 04 v50 2.0 d has developed a problem when you start it up. Now and again you start the car and the throttle pedal will not work, start the car again and it will be ok. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies, told today that I would need to replace and would be £350-£450, that was without them even seeing the car....

That's ball mate, how can they say that without seeing the car? A new throttle body is £70-£90 depending where you go and fitting it is a 20 min job tops on your own drive....
