the exact same thing happened to me. I had a full size spare in and it got 'swapped' for one of those sh1tty space savers. My car had 'only' been into one Volvo specialist in Somerset, so I know 100% it was them. They also swapped my leather handbrake gaiter for a ripped older one. tw4ts
I nearly put a whole thread up about it but knew nothing would be done. I reckon the owner of the garage is in on it due to the way he handled my very respectful phonecalls. My first question to him was 'do you have a new mechanic working for you'.......which he replied 'no, why'.......it went downhill very quickly after that. I had actually put a good post up about the price & quality of the service from them, no wonder if they are stealing parts from your car. They also knew it was my first Volvo and that I had literally just bought it.......the perfect customer, so to speak.
I am a great believer in Karma though......
