Dump and fill is probably the easiest and safest way of changing the gearbox oil, however it can take several dump and fills to replace the majority of the oil so if you are paying a garage to do this they may well only do 1 dump and fill and most likely charge repeatedly for any subsequent dump and fills.
There are tons of guides scattered on these forums and online / YouTube on how to do this yourself. It is fairly easy to do and would save you some money and also ensure you get most of the old oil replaced with new and fresh oil.
