did you inspect the pressure plate there is a metal spring that often breaks ,when this does happen you feel as if you have pedal but cant engage gear ,the spring is under forks on pressur eplate worth checking ..also another thing worth looking at check your clutch master cylinder some where fitted with plastic rod and would break ,this can be done easilly inspection is up by clutch pedal hope this helps..
