You have to leave the ignition key in position 1 (with the radio displaying 'OFF') for two hours straight before it refreshes.

It's annoying and ironic given the intended nature of the 'security code' (the clue's in the name).

When the bodyshop did this to me back in December, I took the opportunity to give the car a decent clean, polish and vacuum.
