the timer function is activated, by disconnecting the batt will not reset the timer.
If you have only input the code twice the unit should not say off in the display it should go tho code straight away agin.
the radio should only say "off" after the 3rd incorrect entry.
I suspect the eprom ic is faulty and needs replacing.
