Hi,perhaps i could find a petrol engine that would be alot more economic,my present one is so thirsty... thanks for replying.tashka
There was never a propre UK 240 Diesel, but there was in europe.
It used a non turbo version of the D24 at 82hp.
I do not know whether any one has put one in a 240 out of a 740/940 in the UK,or if the stering column
would get in the way.
You would have to bo a good milage to make it worth converting from petrol.
Having been in a diesel 240, they are not that refined, I think you would be better geting
a good petrol engine to go in your car.
On the other hand if you are up for a chalange, it would make a good project.
