Default MTE software.

Hopefully, if you have now spent some time in your research at www.t5d5.org and elswhere you will have read some fair comment on the Swedish written MTE software that I sell here in the UK and their unique Softloader system.

For the earlier D5s MTE software will gain you outputs of 195bhp and 410nm of torque. The later, more powerfull diesels in D5 and lower output forms all give 220bhp and 475nm.

The peak horse power claimed with rewritten software is a bit of a blind alley for you when judging what you get for your money, the most important figures are those of torque as it is a given that you make the most progress with any diesel engine by liberal applications of the generous mid range torque. With MTE that is where you get peerless results as all their software, both petrol and diesel, is written to give the highest safe, sensible torque outputs across a wide rev range.

I presently charge £435 including VAT for this software. You do also have to pay a returnable deposit of £155 for their unique Softloader Device that allows you to install it yourself when it acts as an interface between your car's OBD port and an XP equipped laptop.

If you keep the Softloader Device after the installation you can use it, with the laptop, to swap between standard Volvo and MTE software. With the Softloader Device you can also buy MTE's data logging and diagnostics packages for £135.

If you check www.ipdusa.com you will find some comprehensive further information on various videos....IPD are the MTE distributor in the US.

Best regards, Don.
