Thanks for the reply guys, I have spoken to the specialist Ron sealy who says he can go no further with the car and I am now taking it to Kirkcaldy Volvo which is not local to me as I am in Edinburgh but Ron Sealey apparantly has a relationship with them wherby he can talk to them.
Going to try a full software update
