If it's the pump for the front washers try jiggling the switch about the point you would normally expect them to work. The switch can be a bit intermittent.
Mine tends to make contact as you release it rather then when you pull it towards you.
Have you checked for no power with a voltmeter &c? Or is it just that it isn't working?
