Alternatively, if you do not want to remove the airbag and the steering wheel, there is another way that might be easier. Remove the cover in the drivers footwell



And undo the 4 bolts holding the steering column. Undo them most of the way, but not remove them completely. This should allow the steering wheel to drop enough to remove the speedo
