Although B20F is correct most 480 's come with a red dipstick ! its not a such a great problem some consume more oil than others I have a 92 34k 480 1.7 that hardly uses any of the oil but my daugthers ex used a fair bit but not huge amounts . Personally I would not hesitate in buying a red dip stick 480.
there are more pressing factors to consider when buying a 480 ie rusty arches.
