It should only happen once
per engine start. So if you just stop without turning the engine off, then drive on, there should be no ABS self testing noise.
If you stop and turn the engine off then expect to hear it the next time you start the engine and reach 15 mph.
Try approaching that speed slowly the next time and see if it affect the loudness of the ABS self testing mechanism.
