Default 2014 xc60 S/Start problem and CEM B11D914

Realised i originally posted this in the wrong section, so i am reposting here. I have the above DTC and "S/S service required" message. The Aux battery is 12.6v and that is the voltage on the red wire to the CEM. Can other problems cause this code?

As a follow on to the S/S warning message, I have recently had the time to investigate further and the aux battery voltage rises on engine start to approx 15v so I guess the relay energises to connect the battery to the cars main supply. After 16 seconds the battery voltage drops back to 12.5v and the dashboard message appears, so the relay must be loosing its supply from the ECM. Why would the ECM decide to switch the relay off, and hence stop further charging of the aux battery???

Hello!

Did you solve this start/stop problem? I have similar problem with 2012 V70 and I've been fiddling with it for months now, without any luck.

Vida shows constant 11V from secondary battery so it might be bad connection after all! Thanks for the link piotrek, I will check that pin from CEM.

Problem solved! There was bad cable going from secondary battery to CEM. Bad connection was somewhere between branching point (automatic transmission) and connector in front of right hand front wheel (left hand drive car). Since it was hard to inspect the whole cable harness, I put a piece of new cable alongside original harness.

This might be the case in many Volvo models, but here's what I've been tinkering with:
Volvo V70 2012 (late 2011 model)
D3 diesel + automatic
Left hand drive

Finally got this sorted and learned a few things along the way, the red wire from the aux battery relay and fuse box. (which is situated under the plastic cover around the windscreen wipers). had developed a disconnection on its way to the CEM. There had been no disturbance to the wirring looms or work done on the vehicle?
For anyone with a similar issue check pin 17 on connector 2 on the CEM with the connector unplugged. there should be approx 12.5v (Aux batt voltage) standing on that pin at all times. Do not pull the wire harness too much looking for the break in the wire I never found it, just by pass the faulty section.
