Default 940 cluster

Does anyone happen to know if the elusive instrument cluster from this model is shared with any of the petrol models e.g. 760 or 960?

Can't help with that Jor, have searched the net far and wide for an answer myself. However, I don't know if this is of any use to you, it is something I am going to try in the summer on my cluster:

The cluster is shared with 1988> 760's, 1991> 740's, 940's, 960's and S/V90's.

The syle of numbering on the gauges changed sometime during the 900's reign and the rev counters are different between 4cyl NA, 4cyl Turbo (they have and integral boost gauge on HPT's), 6cyl and diesels.

Thumbs down 940 diesel cluster

Thanks for the advice laney/v6. I know there are several diesel 740/940 people having trouble with various electrical functions. I got a 93 petrol cluster, but the connectors to the loom are different.
I'm waiting on a 760 diesel unit and will post a report - hopefully favourable as I am running out of money.
