Default How do I remove the CD player? Idiots guide Please.

XC90 SE 2006 vintage. CD player removal.
New Member, Old codger (71)! First time Volvo owner, with reasonable DIY skills! Absolutely delighted with his new, just run in 111 k motor:
The in dash 6 disc player tells me every disc that I put in is "Unreadable" so would like to remove it and get it repaired.
Have tried a cleaner disc to no avail. The disc doesn't seem to be revolving.
Not wishing to do any damage in the process, I am seeking a step by step guide Please. An IDIOTS guide is what I need!!! Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks Ron, Stirling stuff!
Not nearly as daunting as I had imagined.
This week-end project then.

Thanks again.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the offer of help that I desperately need!
Have removed the CD-CP and have it on the kitchen table awaiting your assistance.
Thanks in advance and anticipation........
Yours Toby.

Could do this by e-mail if easier.
