When re-setting the code, the unit needs to have power to it for the whole of the period it is 'on' prior to the new code going in. OK for those who can do this on an enclosed drive or section of land but a bit awkward for those reduced to standing the motor on the road.
One way would be to have permanent live supply to the head unit and then you could leave it on and lock the car.

Cheapest iPod solution is a cassette unit. Remember to keep the iPod volume low and drive the volume through the control on the 655.
I think there's a connection on the back for an external multi-cd unit; the expensive iPod connection options route the iPod signal through that connector and have the 655 control the iPod (specific models only). Jules |

Thanks everyone for your answers.
So are you saying I should disconnect the +ve of the battery for 4 hours or so and then connect back and in the mean time leave the radio button in "ON" position? OR Are you saying that I should take the head unit out completely disconnect all cables and leave it over night and then connect again? I am a bit lost....??.... |
