Grrr! Damn thing didn't work again this evening. I checked the security setting on the Blackberry, and it had reverted to "high and encrypted". I suspect that when I cnnect to the network at work, the IT police helpfully update the phone settings. I may try to get some viruses - give 'em some proper work to do!

Guess I wont be going for any BT module update (though I dont think that this the 'high and encrypted' is the issue - as I said before it was the Handsfree profile that was disabled, can you get your IT to confirm that this is enabled?

The handsfree profile is definitely enabled. As said, the phone always works if I switch it on whilst the car is already running....
These things are sent to drive us round the bend......
