Default V70 D4 Oil leak

Good day all,

I had a look in the search but couldn't find anything, a bit surprised as it sounds like this is a common issue on this engine.

For years now I have been battling with an oil leak on my 2015 D4.

I spoke to the dealer and they say there has been an updated rocker cover, and to change I need also to order 4 seals, they sounded like it was a very common issue

Rocker gasket
Injector seals
vacuum seal
and another that I can't remember (cam seal it was a round disc)

Does anyone know what these part numbers would be or are they main dealer only.

Also any advice on chaining the parts? I have done the rocker cover gasket a few times now, so more concerned with the vacuum seal and the disc?

Very many thanks Greg

This was a problem around 2016 on a few engines...a new top cover and gasket cured it. apparently you cant buy the old gasket now but have to buy the improved cover which includes the gasket.

I did this myself on my old Ford Zephyr V4, as it just involved removing the air filter, removing four plug leads, and undoing eight crosshead screws. Then I simply swapped the two gaskets, one per cylinder bank.

Over 40 years later I had the work done on my V70 D4 by my local Volvo specialist. Not cheap but worth it if you can afford it IMO, as it's just a little (!!!) more complex than on my old Zephyr.
