Thread resurrection.....
Picking up my used V70 SE D5 next week, so looking to get it checked over by an indy. Just to make sure all's ok with it! The Cardiff indy above, their web site no longer works by the looks of it, so going to contact the Bridgend one. I'll post how it goes.. |

well it only ever got repaired correct at Bridgend, never tried the Cardiff specialist mind, but whenever I've cheaped out at another place I've ended up going there with the tail between my legs and getting them to fix it for me. I find it scary they always remember my name, think I've been there too much, but for me they are top notch. I also like they fact they give a courtesy car for free, it may only be a colt (or if your really unlucky a c30! ) but it makes all the difference. I've been going there for 4 years now and don't think i'll be looking at another garage for a long time |

I was at the Bridgend specialist today & I have to say, I was very impressed!
My V70 only had a health check, but I had loads of questions & the service guys were extremely helpful. I'll definitely be using them for all my service/repair needs |

If I remember correctly the cardiff volvo indie was at one time the top technician in the volvo dealers down the road. Spoke to him just after he started up and his prices were very good and he seemed to know his stuff. Never used him as I moved from the area before service due.

My Volvo 850 P26 LLU was a regular at Cardiff Volvo Specialists.
Do they still exist? Is there a Mr Nicholson on the forum? i think i've found an image of my Volvo on google earth from 2009 before it was smithyised. Trying to build up a history file.

I've just used 'cardiff volvo specialists' near cardiff heliport (see my recent post entitled xc90 volvo from hell), i took it in to them with a specific fault, they charged me approx £1,100 for labour and parts and returned my xc90 with the original fault still existing, they simply advised me to drive about 1,000 miles to see if the fault clears itself (as if my magic ) my advice to anyone is to avoid this particular garage as they are not up to the task, 10 hours labour bill and still they couldnt find the fault.

It is now 2020, are there any Indy garages in Cardiff that can service a volvo xc60? That is reasonable and know what they're doing? I don't really want to drive out to Bridgend
