Has to be there demonstrator, and will definitely put them in breach of their dealership agreement if they sell it - However, advertising and sale are two different things, so could just be a ploy to drum up interest...

I think the interest has been there for over a year now ,1000 sold in UK already without seeing in the flesh and 30000 round the world . those that want one are eager to get their hands on one so willing to pay over the odds

List price in the UK for a D5 Momentum with no options is £45,450.

So no price gouging, its just a very basic model.

Will be test driving a D5 Momentum this Sunday but will wait until I can drive a T8 before deciding which one to buy.

Default Test Drive

Hi,

I test drove the D5 Inscription at my local dealer. It is excellent. VERY quiet and powerful for a small diesel engine in a big car. Suspension felt a bit stiff compared to my 55 plate T6 Executive. The dash is really nice - like the system that reads the road speed limit signs. They did not have any software updates such as Navigation so not much to play with on the driver’s information display. I love the led lighting inside and out. It had the Bowers and Wilkins sound system which is really good.

I am close to ordering the T6 Inscription (Onyx Black, 5 double spoke wheels) with a few toys, only problem is they will only offer me £3000 for my 71,000 mile XC90 which I love! I am tempted by the T8 but I think it is too expensive (I would never save the difference in fuel and road tax).

Looks nice:

Having seen and driven an Onyx Black D5 while on a visit to Sweden, all i can say is wow!

Onyx Black is a fantastic colour IMO. The engine is more than powerful enough and one can hardly hear its a diesel! The seats are better than ever and the quality is the best i've ever seen in a Volvo so far.

I have posted some pics in another thread on here.

Looking forward to trying the higher and lower ends of the spec range (although like everyone else I'm most interested in the T8).
