Default Lowered race/drift machine?

Well not spotted by me but my mate who usually mocks me about going on about old man Volvo's.
He actually really liked the one he spotted as it looked really cool.
He showed me the pictures he took at his local petrol station and I must admit it looked extremely cool.
So spotted on 14th june 2013 early afternoon at Yarnton ,Oxfordshire.

A 240 estate in dark green maybe olive colour with five spoke alloys painted white,Lowered and full rollcage and the front side windows were Perspex with little sliding hatches.Reg Number G4 GGD.

I will get the pictures off his phone soon but it must be known by someone as it stands out as being extremely well done.

I told him I am one day going to own such a beast Lol.
Regards Brian.

Cheers Antz that was a fantastic read. I wonder what he was doing around these parts?
A nice project that has just evolved out of being used and adapted.

Not sure I could live with the totally bare inside as I imagine road noise would be an issue.

I have often thought how the internal trim could be radically changed.but still be easy to live with.

Nice one mate.
Regards Brian.

A white Torslanda in the car park by the Information Centre in Tintagel last Friday afternoon. There wasn't time to stop and photograph it, unfortunately. It was an exact twin of ours so it would have been nice to picture them together.

still amazes me that most of the 'spotted 240s' don't belong to forum members!

Finally saw 2 or 3 240's today.

1 in Leominster a red Torslanda.

2 a 244 parked on a drive on the Leysters to Tenbury Wells road and saw another estate locally as well.

I have never seen so many. It would seem Worcestershire and Herefordshire has them.
No pics though, was driving my GLT.

James

White 240 spotted on the Bradford road going into Keighley on Saturday morning. I waved (much to the amusement of the driver behind me, I saw him chuckle!)but didn't get a response.

Thumbs up

Very nice mid blue 2.3i estate on the M1 going south near the Nottingham area this morning around 10:30.(10/07/13). Very heavy traffic, drove parallel for a while giving the thumbs up to each other, he turned off at Loughborough. It was striking to see. Made you realise how homogenous modern vehicles have become in appearance.
