In the name of the wee tin man! I bought a 245GL many years ago as a non-runner because the timing belt had gone. With 10 months' tax and MoT, plus the same gauge pack it cost me £200.

Nice find Steve, shame about the colour as it's known to be a fugitive colour so will end up as a rough looking pink with purple tints as soon as the sun hits it!

Had a couple of Marinas when i was only a pup, a 1.3 in that same colour (hence knowing it's a fugitive colour!) and a later 1.7HL in Denim Blue metallic with a black vinyl roof.
Like all cars they have their faults but overall, a pretty good machine, simple to work on and being a VWW, a useful load-lugger.

I thought it was on a Classified Andrew?

Perhaps went through the auction at Silverstone and didn't make reserve?
