Does it get much attention out and about, or does the general public perceive it to just be another big/bland SUV?

From the General section... It appears there was some sort of press launch in Yorkshire today. Most of the best new XC90 shots I've seen come from that and other less formal events. They give a better idea of what the car looks like in the flesh. I have yet to see one up close. These are courtesy of @MajorGav on Twitter. More commonly know as Gavin Big-Surname from that petrolblog.com I think Twilight Bronze looks rather good. It's also on 20s and has the air suspension. |

According to @MajorGav "That's a £64k D5 Inscription in Savile Grey. Most of the option boxes ticked including 21-inch rims and Bowers & Wilkins audio. D5 prices start from just shy of £46k. Volvo expects Momentum to account for 50% of sales. Inscription trim is deeply impressive. Key thing is that the new XC90 feels worth the money. R-Design (30% sales) should be good. As will T8 - the business choice." |

All this talk...
Nipped over to Autoworld Chesterfield and had a whiz around in their demonstrator. Very nice |

I am test driving local dealer's D5 demo next week, hopefully. Like the look of the twilight bronze. Might get a T8 to go through the business (though ought to drive one first before deciding), or maybe a D5 privately - or perhaps will decide I cannot possibly spend that much on a car! Local dealer not being very proactive though... I have to chase for everything

Business contract hire on the D5 isn't too bad (still a bit Ouch!) but I wouldn't expect to see too many bargains as it appears demand will be strong. Volvo aren't going to have to give these away. However, I think residuals will be strong which should keep a lid on the monthly cost for business customers.

Not worth doing business contract hire on D5 (for me anyway) - definitely don't want that through the company as benefit in kind tax makes not worthwhile.
If get a T8 won't do contract hire will instead buy outright (though will have to borrow most of the cost) as can get full write down for corporation tax so in cash flow terms (subject to a timing difference) will get the extra cost over D5 back as refund on corporation tax. That way, when I have used for 3-4 years I can buy from company and pass on to my wife - though doing that would mean having to find lots more ££ both to buy it back from the company and also replace it for my use - but keeping 6-8 years should reduce overall cost nicely |

You obviously need to sell you vehicles, but I am sure you understand when spend the sums involved, the buyer will want it exactly the way he/she would like. Perhaps you could let me know the specs of the vehicles you have ordered and if they are a close enough fit to my requirements (95%), then who knows ..lol cheers |
