Sweeping statement time

I've not noticed Volvo is particularly popular here. Do tend to see more VAG, Ford and other German but that's the same everywhere; Poles/Latvians etc. bring their LHD 90s BMWs and 00s Skodas, and the Indian subcontinental people prefer the Japanese makes (Nissan/Toyota) as usual, but their kids will now drive German. Definitely more of a Volvo thing around north Mcr, where you see the Jewish community calmly driving their old 860s, 960s, and V70s around at 20mph. The ones who don't drive Volvo will normally drive a people carrier, which is also the vehicle of choice in Moss Side for the large African families (or just the large men who want something spacious and cheap).

One place I have noticed Volvo is popular is Windsor. They're everywhere!!

Pretty much nailed it there - especially re Volvos in Windsor. Thousands of them! theres even a Volvo specialist garage hidden away in one of the backstreets

I had also noticed that Indians and Brits of Indian Origin under about 35 drive audis, over 35, drive Japanese. My office is near a very Indianised area and I get to see a lot of this..

Autoglass whipped out the screen today, I figured £25 "excess" for a tiny chip repair was extortionate, but £75 "excess" for a new screen wasn't bad value.

So I've replaced the old one with two chips, including one quite big chip that was more of a smash, and I was surprised had been successfully repaired before I bought the car.

Can't drive it for an hour....

Working well within the curry capital of England, the black Audi A4 is king yet only down the road in the next shire of Rutland the Volvo estate / 4x4 ranks alongside the big Merc`s
