Clutch Won't Work!
Hello everyone my names Matt wonder if anyone can help.
I have a S40 18i 2005 which had a gearbox fault. I have changed the box for a second hand one but now cannot get the clutch to engage the gears. Tried bleeding with no luck. Someone suggested changing the clutch plate and fly wheel which I have now done still the same cannot get any gears. It will go into gear with the engine running but you have to force it in each gear. It's as if there is no clutch fitted. When you put the brake pedal down the gears crunch and it stalls. Now after the fifth time of removing the gearbox I put the old one back on to make sure I did not have a duff second hand box and it's still doing the same.
Anyone one who can throw any light on this I would be greatful as I have now had enough of it.
