Part number is NH010-01AY-01A
Found this: http://www.fujitsu.com/downloads/MIC...ays/frl274.pdf here: http://www.volvopedia.de/index.php?title=CEM Would this be any good? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-...412279139.html http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...321810004.html Before you go ahead and buy the relay, have you done the standard check to establish whether it is the relay or not? With the bulb in, engage the main beams and measure the voltage. You should be getting 0v. Then remove the bulb and measure the voltage again. If you get 12V then it is most probably your relay that is faulty. If you get 0V then you have a wiring problem.

As for the possessed blower motor, try replacing the blower resistor first and see if that solves your problem. A search with the words "blower resistor" should give you more than enough tips to get that job done.

Heater switch is known to be erratic and the fix is BOOTLACE put it around the switch and vigorously rotate the control - it may or may not clean the contacts, but worth trying

Afternoon all - after Googling issues with headlights I was directed to this forum and joined.
I have a 2003 V40 estate. Last year the LH beam failed, after taking it a workshop I was told that allegedly the CEM maybe at fault and the quickest way to get both lights sorted was to run a feed from the working RH side light to the left. This worked fine until last week when both lights failed on a drive back in the dark, not a good situation. I spoke to the garage and they said after checks on the car that the CEM was the likely culprit? I have flash and fog lights but no sidelights nor main beam. As some have already stated a replacement from Volvo would be £450 + VAT and then a further cost to get the unit coded to the car. Can I just double check with you guys that are more knowledgeable than myself, is the problem the relays that are pictured on the first page of this thread? Also there is a link to a supplier. Am I right in thinking that I need to replace all 3 relays on the board , if so is this the fix for the headlight issue? Also if this is the case and it gets done will the unit just be a case of being plugged back in without need of registering it? A huge thanks in advance. |

THe easiest way to tell if it is the relay, is to do the folowing test.
Measure the voltage with the bulb in. You should be getting 0v. Then remove the bulb and measure the voltage again. If you get 12V then it is most probably your relay that is faulty. If you get 0V then you have a wiring problem. If it is the relays that are at fault, then you will only need to replace the left and right headlight relays. Nothing more

Midlandsv40 I have a replacement CEM suitable for your car (see sales threads). You just need to swap one for t'other and off you go.......assuming of course that it isn't a broken live wire or similar as mentioned above! Good luck. tweeksy9ATgooglemail.com
