S80 Diagnostic tool reccomendations

I was looking at this for a diagnostic tool, but don't know how it'll work in regards to Volvo specific codes. Will this suffice or do I need to invest in a laptop with VIDA or something similar?

I have one of those, its ok on some motors doesn't work on Volvo. I have vida dice now,also have icarsoft i906. works for all Volvo and saab. its for sale £55 inc postage.

I have VIDA software already i just have no idea how to actually plug my car into it :S
