It depends on which car/gearbox you have. If it is a renault gearbox, it is very straight forward and easy to replace. If you have a Volvo gearbox, it will be quite dear, as it will involve the removal of the gearbox to access the slave cylinder

I have a new genuine volvo internal slave cylinder for the Volvo M56 box if you need one. I bought it but the problem wasn't the slave.
