Default Fuel Tank Capacity

Do all V40/S40's have the same capacity fuel tank? Eg. If i put a replacement sender unit from a 2.0 on a 1.6 is it going to give an accurate/correct figure?

As far as I am aware they all have the same 60 litre tank, is it a sender unit and the pump or just the sender? I know when I was looking around the pump was dependant on the engine but I am guessing just the sender wouldn't be.

Have you tried to clean the contacts where the float rides up and down? They can sometimes get a but mucky meaning there are issues with the gauge - its a common issue on these cars it seems, might save you a few pennies if it just needs a clean!

I'm trying to work out what miles I could get from a full tank (1.8 petrol)

60litre fuel capacity at 13 gallons

How many miles can other 1.8 owners get from a tank on mostly A-roads and motorways?

Not sure how many miles per tank but my 2.0 averages about 29mpg (I'll get the exact figure off it later) doing fairly short runs. It averaged 32.6mpg to Silverstone and back last weekend though.
