Default C70 Alarm Goes off randomly!!

Hello peeps, my c70 alarm has been going off randomly, i have put this down to being when its cold, i had a quick chat with my dealer and they said that the most common problem is because of coins in coin holders and therefore nothing metal should be put in this area; as it sets off the proximity sensor located under the coin holder.

What a stupid place to put a prox sensor, or the coin holder if they interfere with one another. Something to do with metal contracting under cold conditions and the prx sensor noticing the movement and therefore setting off the sensor.

However taking into consideration the above points, i still have a random alarm going off every now and then and its beginning to get annoying. A trip last night to the car to turn off the alarm at approx 3am, and the night before. So i am just using the key at present for locking and uinlocking.

Any ideas???

If i cant cure it its a trip down to the dealers for a clifford !
