Default Car does not start, help

Hi all
Please help. My car (2006 s60 2.0T) won't start. error code ECM-614B camshaft control exhaust faulty. erased it came back but now it is not coming back. Will this fault cause the car not to start or it should start and not idle well. What could cause this fault except if the solenoid is really faulty. battery is fine.
Thanks
Simon

Hi all
I've just found out the problem is that there is no current going to the crank sensor. I followed the wire all the way to the ecu then I checked what voltage I get close to the ECU about 5 cm. I got zero. I have not checked what I get if I make contact directly at the connector as it is a bit hard to reach there. But if I get zero does that mean the ECU is faulty or anything else to check? All other stuff works. Injectors and fuel pump are, there is spark. I can't think the ECU would die on one thing but I would appreciate your suggestions. To eliminate faulty multi-meter I checked the voltage on the camshaft sensor and got about 5. Any pointers please?
