Default Aircon

Ok folks, as I live in a hot and humid place to the right of Blighty, air conditioning is essential. However, recently the aircon actually blows warm air for about 7 minutes before cool air starts to come through.

That seems a lot longer these days than before. The controls are all correct, manual aircon, vents are the dashboard vents facing driver / passenger and the temperature is set at the lowest level.

Compressor problem or just low on gas? Any ideas appreciated.

I would check the gas first. This should be done every 2 or so Years, but many garages don't have the equipment to do this. Best to find an aircon specialist nearby and if prices are as in UK, shouldn't be more than approx £40 for a re-gas

UK is pretty expensive. About GBP25 here for a gas top up, but then the darn car itself is about GBP150,000 new. That's not a typo either. Thanks for the quick response.

Sorry I was talking about £45 for a re-gas rather than a top-up. A top-up will surely be cheaper
150k?
