Wishbone bushes in LE9
Hi
As above can anyone recommend someone to change the bushes on the wishbones of my 2003 V70 D5 in the LE9 area(ish) ?also approx cost I should be paying? Also whats the general consensus about oe bushes compared to polybushes?Spoke to one chap who said he polybushed his phase 1 V70 because it meant he did'nt need a press using them and the phase 2 V70 could be the same!!Does that sound right to you guys? sory for all the questions , its just the old bus is getting a little wallowly and vague and want it doing asap as I have my 3 yr old daughter and 11 week old son in there most of the time.....thanks in advance |

If the rear wishbone bushes are OK then you could go for polybush. It is by all accounts relatively easy but I would not try to replace OE style bushes as that is a much more difficult task, fraught with difficulty and varying success.

So I assume the chap I was speaking to at tyre place is right in his thinking, He reckons an hour a side to swap them, so 2 hours at £35 hour plus roughly £70 in polybush kit??

Sounds right. I went with 2 new OE wishbones as all of the bushes, front and rear, were knackered. Didn't fancy doing it in the cold ( but it is do-able at home) so paid an indy....can't remember exactly but it was 1.5 - 2 hours
