How do I tell which Phase I've got
Heard of PH1, PH1.5 PH2. I know its not a 2 but how do I tell difference between 1 and 1.5?
Pictures of it are on the link http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=150842 |

I can't see a single part on it from Phase 2, so imho it is a Phase 1

P1.5 had bits from P1 and P2. So for example you would have the P2 centre console and have the old bumpers with the small sidelights on the outside.

Did the P1 console have a hole rather than the spring action ashtray thing?

Mine was on a W plate and had same console and same bumpers as yours but mine was a phase 1.5 so would imagine yours is too. What month was it made in 2000 i believe up to march was 1.5

Doesnt matter if you order the parts from a volvo main dealer, they will work from the VIN number and get the right parts.
if its a Good indy,, ditto if its a "generic car parts shop" they will go on the year of registration and not give a hoot about p1/p1.4/p2 as they dont know about that.

It could be a P1.5 then but then again maybe not. Another thing to look for is under the bonnet. The top mounts on the P2 cars and my guess would be P1.5 have lower top mounts/struts than the P1 cars. See highlighted yellow circles in images
