Random Questions
Hi Everybody,
rather than create multiple threads I thought id combine a few questons into one. 1. I think my top engine mount is done, there seems to be no contact between the rubber and the mount?? What symptons would I get if the mount was worn? 2. Does anyone know what this switch and led are behind the steering wheel. Ive not taken things apart yet to find out but the led doesn't go on. 3. My parking sensors don't work and im trying to find the "switch" to turn them on and off. The manual states in the luggage compartment, but im struggling to find it?? Any pictures or guidance would be appreciated. Many thanks for any advice |

Hi oggy top mounting looks knackered you can buy just the mounting bush or the whole top bracket which is available as an upgraded version cos these original ones are so weak, I am not sure if
S60 has the bottom torque strap mounting between the front of subframe and gearbox . As v70 If it has check the small bushin the bracket bolted to the gearbox mine was completely knocked and auto shifts improved Quite a bit when I replaced it. I avoided poly bushed one as lots of threads on here say it transmits engine vibration through body I use the car all day every day and couldn't be bothered with the vibration. I took the bottom one apart and sleeved the old bush centre in neoprene hose from a gas cooker flexi hose the neoprene is exactly the right internal and external diameter to repack the bottom bush and is holding up perfectly. |

The switch and LED are definately non-standard. Just a thought, could question 2 be the answer to question 3?

Yeah, I did think it may be linked but I thought the sensors were standard. Probably best to get into the wires and have a look. Thanks anyway.

P.S, just make sure you copper grease the bushing well otherwise it can deteriorate more quickly.

Petrol as well
Hello, I added a poly bushing to my petrol model over the objection of a nearby Volvo mechanic. The shaking was UNBELIEVABLE! ! Kira
