Default Catalytic Converter for a 940?

I have a British registered (based in the midlands) 1994 945 2.0S (non-turbo) which will be soon in need of a new Catalytic Converter. My local exhaust centre (ATS) says that only a franchise dealer can fit one to this particular model. Not wishing to take out a second mortgage, can anyone advise me where I can take my car other than a franchise dealer and how much I will have to pay for a catalyzer on this model. Is there an inexpensive option?

Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks.

Ive never bought one myself but I have seen adverts for cats in my local factors for aftermarket cats. Try CENTRAL on 01933 222222
. They are based in Wellingborough. No guarantees that they do volvo types but worth the call. Cheers Nige
