Default 740 only fires on 1 cylinder

I have a 740 with a b230f over time it has been slowly decreasing in the number of cylinders it would start on. First it was 3 and then it dropped to 2, around that point the air&fuel computer went and it wasn't activating the fuel pump. A new air&fuel computer was bought and it fixed the fuel pump problem but not the starting problem. It would start on 2 or 3 cylinders and after a bit of a warm up and a few revs the others would pick up. However now following it's previous course it is now only firing on 1 cylinder. It has new spark plugs and there is plenty of spark. It is also injecting the fuel because you can smell it when you remove the spark plug. I'm hoping someone can help me cause I really do love the car :P oh and on the odd occasion it will start perfectly on all cylinders.

Is it worth loooking into replacing the ignition computer?

only if your sure its sparking on all 4 cylinders, the plugs are showing no signs of any abnormalities, then i would think you should try an alternate ecu, if there is no change, then id say its time to go through all the sensors..
