Default to sell or break????

I have an M reg 940 se 2,4 manual, diesel estate that no longer fits my needs and I am going to sell it somehow. My question to the collective is would I be better to sell it as a runner (mot dec) or break it? I guess I am asking here as you guys and gals know more about the market than me.

I've been looking around and reckon it's is worth about 700. I guess I'm asking folks is the extra I'd get from breaking it worth the hassle and if there was a market for the bits?

It still has 5 months MoT and if it's in reasonable condition, get a few photos and put it on ebay.

I spoke with a guy breaking a 940 about a year ago... he normally broke Jags and BMWs, he reckoned he wouldn't do another Volvo as people just don't buy that many bits for them...

I got almost £1000 for a written off 940 in parts, got more than the insurance payout for its pre-crash condition.

I got £840 from the insurance and £1000 for the parts. I got requests for a lot of the bits, but that was over quite a few months, which a professional probably wouldn't want to wait.
