Unhappy Cambelt change cost????

Hi all.

Selling my trusty c70 and have spent a lot getting her right for sale eg window reg, wheel bearing etc etc. Someone has asked about cambelt and after looking through history found no sign. My c70 has done 104k and I've just found out it's due at 105k!! Any idea how much this will cost me as after googling I can't seem to find out. Please don't scare me too much.

Thumbs up

Phew. You guys are legends. A (not too relaible) mechanic friend was going on about it being 4-6 hours work! with the parts costing £100. With labour being £50 p/h....this scared me lol

Cheers!

Unhappy

The old owner did say it had been done is there anyway of telling?

If i can't prove it's done it's a case of doing the work or lowering the price. Annoying

If it was changed using good quality kit, they usually come with a sticker you can put in a prominent place(on the airbox on mine),it has space for the date and mileage on it though thats no guarantee it has been done.

If it was done at a Volvo dealer it will be on their computer. Phone any Volvo dealer and, if they are feeling helpful, will give you the official service records.

Default cambelt change- when?

I notice there is talk here of changing the cambelt ar 105k presumably Volvo's recommend mileage. Usually though there is also a time limit. I am thinking of buying an S60T with 60k on the clock but it is a 52 reg. Can I safely wait for the 105k or what. Many thanks.
