Question

After topping up the fluid and changing the W-E-S switch I am still getting the transmission fault lights....its only when the car has been left overnight, and only when I reverse off my drive, then go into drive to move forward. Once I've reversed and then stopped and then stuck it in drive the car seems to have a slight hiccup in taking drive...then the transmission lights flash and I'm in wintrmode (very annoying!). I have been known to sometimes get round it by being mouse like gentle on the accelerater once I've stuck it in drive and sometimes the lights then do not appear...but I am talking so gentle it would be unfeasble on my road if it werent for the fact it 5am!! I am thinking of jacking the car up over the next few days and seeing if I can clean the wiring connections on the side of the gearox as has ben mentioned. If I jack it up and support her on axle stands.....what wiring am I looking to clean? Also I have got that sick of it at times that I have left the lights to flash rather than fidding around removing the fuse 5 times to get them to go out. This sometimes means the car although the lgiths are flashing isnt in winter mode once I start driving it, and the lights have been known to go out after a few days!!!!
